FAQ for Wireless Hearing Solution - XPW-HS350-RTB

  1. Will it produce the high-pitched whistling sound like hearing aids sometimes do?

No, the Wireless Hearing Solution will not cause the same high-pitched whistling sound like hearing aids do as there is a lower chance of acoustic feedback happening. This is because the microphone and the receiver are two separate devices. The microphone picks up the speaker’s voice and sends it wirelessly to the receiver, so it is less likely to pick up and re-amplify sound from the listener’s earphone.

Hearing aids, on the other hand, are very small devices worn in or behind the ear. The microphone and speaker are very close together in the same device. Because of this, the microphone can sometimes pick up sound from the speaker and amplify it again, which causes the high-pitched whistling sound.

    2. Who is this system suitable for?

It is suitable for people who:

  • Have mild hearing loss

  • Want a non-medical alternative for hearing aids

  • Want a simple and quick listening solution

  • A scalable solution that supports listening in group settings

   3. Can multiple people use it at the same time?

Yes, many listeners can use the system at the same time in group settings. Many receivers can be connected to one transmitter via radio frequency. Each listener can adjust the volume to their own comfort level without affecting others.

   4. Is it easier to maintain than hearing aids?

Yes. Traditional hearing aids are small, delicate medical devices that sit inside or behind the ear and require careful handling and regular servicing.

This system is not worn inside the ear, is larger and sturdier, does not require fitting or calibration, and does not need audiologist adjustments. It is generally more durable for everyday group use.

   5. Does it replace hearing aids?

No. It does not replace hearing aids for people with significant hearing loss. However, it could be a non-medical, simple alternative for people with mild hearing loss, especially those who struggle with hearing in group settings.
